Hi, I'm Ajay Kamat.
I'm a seasoned UX/UI Designer and Researcher with over 14 years of UI design experience and 10 years specializing in UX.

I help shape digital products that are not only visually appealing but also highly usable and enjoyable. My focus is on creating user-centered designs that solve real problems-making products intuitive, efficient, and a pleasure to interact with.


EXPERIENCE - I've been designing digital experiences professionally for over 14 years.

In 2012, I joined Taxmann, a leading product-based company, where I took on a leadership role as Product Designer and Creative Director. I led the design of their websites, apps, software (CD versions), and alternative digital products—helping shape the entire digital ecosystem of the brand.

Before that, I worked as a Web Designer and Front-end Developer at E-Soft and STPL, one of Lucknow’s largest firms with a global client base. These early roles built my foundation in design systems, usability, and scalable UI architecture.

In 2019, I led UX and research for a small design team at Dataflow Group (Noida), where I redesigned client portals to improve user experience and reduce drop-off rates. I also created user-friendly, reusable digital brand guidelines that elevated design consistency across platforms.

After that, (2020- 2023) I worked with R-System International, Leads Connect, and Leads Brand Connect, where I contributed to a range of impactful projects-including Hitachi's B2B platform, the e-commerce brand Bail Kolhu, and various AgriTech solutions across B2B, B2C, and B2G sectors.

I worked for them collaborating with clients and stake holders, I focused on creating seamless, research-driven user experiences that not only improved usability but also helped increase revenue, build user trust, and deliver measurable business value. I design experiences that work-and that people genuinely enjoy using.

When building something new, whether it s a personal project or client relationship, I always start with the following questions:

1. - Why do we exist?

2. - Who is our product for?

3. - What do our customers believe?

4. - How are we solving our customer s problem?

5. - How are we a 10x better solution than what else is out there?

Strategy - Ask the Right Questions - Before jumping into design, I focus on understanding the real problem. This stage includes stakeholder interviews, market research, competitor analysis, and strategic consulting to explore meaningful, user-focused solutions.

Design - Solve with Precision - Design is problem-solving. From low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity UI, I craft clean, pixel-perfect designs backed by research. Interactive prototypes help simulate the final product for user validation before development begins.

Development - Make It Real - As a designer who can code, I work closely with development teams to ensure seamless handoffs and accurate implementation. For web projects, I also handle front-end development, bridging the gap between design and execution.

Quality Assurance - Build with Confidence - Transparency is key. I provide a clear view of the entire design process through regular check-ins. I also support user testing to validate decisions and ensure the final product meets both user and business goals.

Useful - Your content should be original and fulfil a need.

Usable - The product must be easy to use as well as functional.

Desirable - Image, identity, brand, and other design elements are used to evoke emotion and appreciation.

Learnable - Content needs to be navigable and simple enough to be learned by the user while they are using it.

Memorable - The user should be able to return to the product without having to relearn it everytime.

Accessible - Content needs to be accessible to all people including people with disabilities.

Credible - The users should be able to trust and believe what you're telling them at all times.
